For clarification purposes, the first photo is of a dam spillway on the Wissahickon, and it isn't East Falls, although many presume that weir to be the eponymous Falls.

Good point and I did make a note of that on the complete SSP tour. The name came from the large rocks in the Schuylkill that have been submerged since 1822. The river would rush over the rocks and was very loud according to legend.
Anyone have a clam rake or two...
