    Default A Farrier in the City

    These are photographs of my great-grandfather in a farrier shop on (I think) Market Street between 3rd and 4th. Or in his shop - Walter E Jones Horseshoeing on South Bancroft Street. I do not have an exact date, but they are from the 20's or 30's I believe. One of my uncles still has the anvil and several items from his businesses.





    He supposedly told a story about "Joe the Boss" acquiring the Market Street shop for him, and something about painted race horses, but those could have been tall tales...

    Nice photos, any idea on the date of them, also any address on the Bancroft st shop?
