About LinkBacksThese are photographs of my great-grandfather in a farrier shop on (I think) Market Street between 3rd and 4th. Or in his shop - Walter E Jones Horseshoeing on South Bancroft Street. I do not have an exact date, but they are from the 20's or 30's I believe. One of my uncles still has the anvil and several items from his businesses.
He supposedly told a story about "Joe the Boss" acquiring the Market Street shop for him, and something about painted race horses, but those could have been tall tales...
