I've known that I need to file for business priv tax for a while now, so i try to be a responsible philadelphian and apply online.
The experience thus far involves:
- Internet explorer only
- Outright confusing site navigation
- The application requesting to access my system clipboard (for whatever unknown crazy reason).
- A failure to process my $300 payment 'The Online License Application was unable to process your request. We apologize for the inconvenience'
If this was a real business, people would be losing their jobs.
On the bright side, the phila.gov website doesn't tell visitors to get lost like it did 10 years prior to nutter:\
Progress!
ps: It looks like the mayor has a 'The Mayor's Commission on Technology (MCOT)', with a contact form.. The contact form is name only, and includes a telephone and fax number. No email addresses or further information. Site contains multiple 404's, just like city hall. How much is this mess costing us?? http://mcot.phila.gov/ContactInfo.html
pps: John Dougherty is listed as a supporter, as well as a bunch of criminals from comcast, verizon and ibm.
http://mcot.phila.gov/newsite/commissioners.html
Yet not a single org provides an email address or website.
Why did i even bother..
ppps: http://mcot.phila.gov/newsite/Initia...GIT/shows.html really? you're joking. at least they have 2006 on lockdown!
