    Default Urgent at ACCT-Rocky

Rocky (A17179751) is in training and up for adoption. Rocky is a medium sized, 40 pound, light brown colored, Terrier, American Staffordshire Mix. He is a gorgeous boy with ears that stick straight up and has a wrinkly forehead. What can we say about our friend Rocky? Well Rocky was found as a stray and has been living at the shelter for 2 months now. During these 2 months, Rocky was a quiet dog just waiting patiently to be relieved from his kennel. Rocky now has 2 friends who are dedicated in keeping him happy and training him in the areas that he needs help. Rocky is being trained how to walk nice while out for walks with a Gentle Leader which will go home with Rocky once he is adopted. Rocky also needs help with his excitement when meeting new dogs. Once he gets to know them, he does very well. Rocky is also a very smart boy, he already learned the command "sit". He is treat motivated so so far he has been easy to work with. He will take treats from you very gently. Rocky went for a car ride and he did great in the car. Rocky is a very affectionate dog who loves attention. He likes to sniff around and get to know his surroundings. Want more information on Rocky? Contact his 2 friends at Always8bball@aol.com or Anastasiam1981@yahoo.com

Rocky, saved during euthanasia when microchip was found - Philadelphia Animal Welfare | Examiner.com

Rocky is still available at the ACCT Shelter. He now has until November 11th.

Rocky (whose real name is Zeus) was placed on a mandatory 10-day owner hold. He now only has until November 11 at 5 p.m. for a foster/adopter to fill out an application. He will not be given any extended time beyond that. Then he will once again face the threat of euthanasia.

Scanning for a microchip a second time temporarily saved Rocky's life. Now it's up to us to make it permanent. He defied the odds once and should never have to face the dreaded back room again.

Please network for this wonderful boy to find his way safely out of the shelter. If you can't be his hero, please share to help him find one.
