FOUND: very friendly pit bull

A very sweet and friendly female pit bull was found on Saturday morning in Fairmount Park, and she's in good enough shape that we're thinking she may be lost. REALLY friendly... she rolls right over on her back to snuggle with everyone she meets.

She weighs probably between 40 and 50 pounds. We didn't put her on a scale and I'm not great at estimating but she's about the size of my pittie who weighs 45. Her fur is mostly a medium reddish brown.

I know that found dog posts get a lot of people wanting a free dog (especially pit bulls) so if this sounds like she may belong to you or someone you know, PM me.

She was found near Chamounix, but I'm posting this in a few different sections as dogs can travel surprisingly far.

Have you had her scanned for a microchip? Any vet can do that, or maybe one of the local rescues like PAWS or PSPCA.

The animal control shelter (ACCT) at 111 W. Hunting Park has a bulletin board for lost and found pets. It might be worthwhile to put up the dog's picture on the off-chance that the owner comes to the shelter looking for his/her dog.
