This is so exciting! I don't think this caliber of private piano lessons has been available for children in the area. I just grabbed this from another website:

    https://music.umn.edu/events/bravo_ariane-liao

" Dr. Ariane Alexander received her early pianistic training at the Julliard School of Music studying with Richard Faber and continued her studies at Indiana University, the University of California at Santa Barbara, and the University of Houston Moores School of Music where she received a D.M.A. degree in piano performance working with Abbey Simon, Horacio Gutierez, and Ruth Tomfhorde.

Dr. Alexander has performed as soloist and has given master classes at both the preparatory and collegiate levels throughout the United States and the British Isles. As collaborative artist and chamber musician she has performed with notable artists including Janos Starker, Yair Kless, Angela Fuller, Tanya Remenikova, and Sally O’Reilly to name a few.

She currently maintains a private studio in Houston where her students continue to win prizes both in and out of state and are accepted at major music schools for their collegiate studies."

Actually we have an abundance of this caliber of piano teacher in the area. Curtis is right here. In truth we have an over abundance of riches.

As a parent that's not been my, or the parents I know, experience. Maybe these teachers you speak of aren't easy to locate? It seems we go to the same few choices for children's piano instruction.

Ah perhaps you haven't known where to look. Since this post is to advertise this lady's services I do not wish to put up her competition here. However if you would like a list PM me and I will be happy to send an exhaustive one to you.

I have to agree with Gladys here...it's easier to find top level instruction in piano, violin, hell even contrabass than it is to find a top tier plumber.
