my boyfriend sold his truck on Friday for over $5,000, and yesterday he told me that he would put aside $2,500 for a new car, and about $400-600 for bills he hasn't been able to pay, hence the whole idea of selling his truck. I told him to put the rest of the $1-2 grand in the bank to save up for the baby, since I am 13 weeks pregnant. of course he didn't listen to me, and went and "treated" himself with something nice.... an xbox.. that was over 400 bucks.. responsible? no, but in a way, he hasn't got to do anything nice for HIMSELF in a long time. he's been usually getting me things and taking me out and such. but I was just wondering, was it a mistake to let him do that? I wanna make sure we have money for this kid.
