The intention of these classes is to provide parents and caregivers with the tools for offering nurturing touch through the use of infant massage. Infant massage can help to build stronger, more loving bonds and can relieve stress in both caregivers and children. Other benefits arising from the use of nurturing touch include improved physical, social and emotional development; better sleep regulation; relief from common problems like colic, gas or constipation; and enhanced receptive and expressive communication with caregivers.

In this four session workshop, you will learn massage strokes for all areas of your baby's body and have the opportunity to practice with supervision during each class. Detailed descriptions of strokes are provided, as well as a resource list to learn more about related topics. Massage is not provided directly to your baby...it is taught to you with the purpose of helping you bond and create lasting attachments with your baby.
