New Rooftop Deck Zoning Code & Society Hill Historical District
I am trying to understand the new zoning code and how this correlates to the Society Hill Historic District. I know this historic designation is regarding external structures. Variances are no longer necessary for rooftop decks, however, due to the nature of the historical district, will a variance still be required in Society Hill?
Queen Village is in a neighborhood conservation overlay in the new code. Society Hill is an NRHP historic district so I don't think it's a zoning code issue so I think that just means you use the same process the area used under the old code.
