Default Cebu coming back from the dead

As much as we hoped it wouldn't happen, I guess it was only a matter of time until Reserve, the 'steakhouse' currently in that spot, turned skanky Old City nightclub.

Probably won't be long now until the usual shootings/stabbings/screaming stilletto-heeled girl mob brawls start up again at 123 Chestnut Street.

That explains why they've never been open when I have tried to eat there during normal meal times. Didn't they have an agreement with the civic association that they weren't allowed to have DJs?

When did you try to go that they were closed?

Anyway no one should be surprised at this turn of events.

Don't know, but it seems like Xfinity Live is already one big Mad River...or a bunch of Mad Rivers.

mad river was a crap show of epic proportions. I was forced to do two tv interviews there since mad river would hand out their space to any syndication for free. So, to be courteous, I ate there. More like-ordered, was constantly asked if I wanted a pickleback with my lettuce and tomato and freezerburned leftover salad, and then was asked if I wanted to hang out as the frat kids came in. I went over to pete's pizza and had a much better experience.

You are lucky. We stopped there on a whim for dinner and paid $170 for a meal I wouldn't have eaten for free. The staff were pleasant, but the food was unspeakably bad.

I'd heard similar things about the food there. It's frustrating, because if they had kept tighter controls on the quality, perhaps they would have succeeded as a restaurant.

I heard this Reserve place is out of business, which sounds like a good thing.

It would be nice if a non-bridge and tunnel place opened in there.

    Yep, all closed up.

A friend of mine just got a birthday gift mailing from Reserve, for a free entree. It expires on October 31.
