I'm still trying to figure out the whole Village People/YMCA connection to that thing. What's the deal? Weren't there any other "please don't play this song at a wedding reception full of drunk people or you'll be sorry" songs that they could think of?

I do love the term Scuttlebutt, thanks dayman for reminding me. Would be a great name for a band (if it isn't already).
