Power Outage

Seems a good portion of third and second street between Race and Arch have no power.

Yep, I was without power last night and live in the area you described. It came back on I guess around 8:30 pm. Have not heard why it went out. If I hear something I'll post.

In the 3 years since I have lived in Old City I recall 4 power outages. I might be the exception I don't think that is bad. Although it better not become a regular occurence! When we were living in North Wilmington Delaware the power went out regularly and for long periods of time. It got to be really bad we used to say Delmarva power slogan was we don't work so you don't have to. Our office was close by our house and power would be out at both. It is funny in Philly we are used to power outages we don't panic our neighbors are lighting candles worried about the food in the fridge and we just go about our business unfazed!

Yes we do and it gets worse directly over the Bridge. I count 9 outages in the last two years that I know about. Two of them lasting an entire day. Several days of running on partial power. Two months of running on a truck generator. Both transformers in the street near my building have been replaced twice in the last two years.
