Northeast Philly NYE?

Is there anything good going on in Northeast Philly tonight? Good bars or parties? We aren't interested in going downtown... I hate driving on NYE

It's a good question. I asked around my office, which is all Northeast guys, and nobody knows anything. SugarHouse, not really in the NE, has some specials I saw advertised in the NE Times. One friend suggested (jocularly) that Hooters on the Boulevard always has something going on. As an old and severely whipped married man, however, I can not verify that comment.

Did you go last night? It was packed. They said about 10,000 people. Fireworks were awesome

Were you there? No. So you (as usual) are full of crap. I was. 10k seems about right considering they sold out all 7500 pins to see the entertainment and there was scores of people without the pins(like us) there

Let me ask you.. Are this this miserable in real life?

We wound up going to this last night instead of going to a house party and watching a bunch of people get completely ka-blaamed. We had a great time.

did ya catch the fireworks? Pretty good for a small town and ya right up and personal with them. The cinders from the explosions were hitting us.. lol

Yeah, we saw them. We had 9:30 dinner reservations at a place just off of Main Street, so we got to see the fireworks.

I used to live pretty close to Main Street when I was in college and always enjoyed the small-town feel of it. I spent a lot of time studying in that Starbucks.
