State Rd and Cottman..right turn lane always blocked!

Some tow company on the NorthEast corner of State Rd always has tow trucks lined up across the street way beyond the "no parking anytime" signs, so when I want to make a right turn, I'm stuck waiting until the green so I can get around them, or squeezing by them because they park almost to the corner! They also will leave wrecked cars there at times, drives me nuts... the worse part is, I see police just drive right by... are they afraid to ticket them??

I noticed this as well. So the new lanes they put in now don't work because no one can get in the right lane and it just backs up the traffic. I guess call 311 and report it. I also run into the tow company down a little further on State road who just parks their trucks in the right lane with the 4 ways on blocking that lane screwing traffic up as well. Pendot fixed the area and the local business I guess are pissed they lost parking. Oh well. That area is a mess most of the day.

It irritates me too. A few times I've seen city cars with L&I written on them parked in that lane.

I reported it to Philly 311. They said to call the 15th when the lanes are blocked. 215-686-3150 Add the number in your cell phones and call every time you see trucks there. Maybe if a few of us keep calling they will keep coming out and ticket them.

4 cars past the no parking sign today. I called the 15th on my way by. Anyone go past there today after noon time and see anything parked there?

Same here, saw 4 cars around 5pm when I drove by, including a large white pickup which I assume belongs to the garage across the street, it seems to be one of the regular offenders.

Did you call the 15th? If everyone who reads this keeps calling they will mark it as a trouble area and come out all the time, do drive by's, and ticket anything there. Just have to keep calling the 15th when you go by and report it. I'm going to go out of my way to drive by there all the time and call them in. I take that way to work and I'm sick of getting stuck in traffic there because those ass hats are in the turn lane. Problem is you have a Septa bus or truck making that right and the lane is blocked it just backs up state road traffic going south because they are all now in the lane to go south on State rather then being in the turn lane where they belong. Keep calling it in!

Well, looks like your calls may have worked... all this week when I get to the corner, all the trucks are parked at or behind the no stopping anytime signs, and the lane is open... hope they keep it up!

It's been better but they are still parking there. Anytime you go by and there are cars there just call the 15th district direct. 215-686-3150 Tell them there are illegal parked cars on the highway in the right turn lane @ 7316 State Road. It's going to take everyone to keep calling when you drive by to get them to learn. It's always the same cars there no less.

I keep seeing parked cars there. I've stepped it up and started just calling 911 and reporting the cars ever time I go by and they are there. The first time I called 911 the dispatcher actually told me she travels that way to work and she gets pissed because cars are always in that turn lane. Anytime you go by and cars are there just call 911 and keep reporting it.

Yea, I am still seeing the white pickup there regularly when I go by....
