    Default Mayfair Fall Festival/Farmer's Market Sunday 9/23

    Fun stuff going on in Mayfair this weekend!

    Broad Street Media LLC - Mayfair Fall Festival set for this weekend

    Republic Bank and the Mayfair Community Development Corporation are co-sponsoring the Mayfair Fall Festival and Farmers Market Preview this Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., on the 3500 block of Ryan Ave., near the intersection of Frankford and Cottman avenues.

    The day will feature farm fresh produce, honey and beeswax candles, organic soaps and body products, homemade pasta sauce, flowers, fresh bagels, gourmet dog treats, baked goods and craft beers.

    Vendors include Stern Farms, Wild Flour Bakery, Mill Creek Apiary, Philly Dog Biscuit Company, 5 Sisters Pasta Sauces, Stan’s Health Foods, Mayfair Shop N Bag, Grey Lodge Pub, Torresdale Flowers and Philly Mobile Food Association’s specialty food trucks.

    Activities will include face painting, water ice and the live music of the Father Judge Jazz Band, Mike Brenner and Tricia Paffen and Nick Giannetti.
    Another fall festival and farmers market preview will take place on Sunday, Oct. 14.

    I will definitely be there...I hope it turns out to be a great thing for Mayfair!

    Seems to have been a great event. We got here around 10 and were able to get bagels and cupcakes before they sold out. Also had breakfast at the food truck. We walked the avenue after. It was a perfect day for the market. I hope the next one does just as well, if not better.

    I stopped up too! Tried some of the beeswax handcream and bought some veggies for dinner.
    I had to laugh when, at 10:30am, we saw 2 guys drinking a beer by the beer vendor. Welcome to Mayfair!!

    I thought the German/American parade and this event were great for the neighborhood.

    Weakness as in complaining is easy; getting up off your duff and doing something positive may be tougher...but it's more rewarding.
