Default Is Crime Getting Worse?? Kids are Constantly Stealing From Wawa Solly Ave

I'm really shocked by the amount of Kids or Teenagers or adults that are Repeatedly stealing from the Wawa near me at Solly & Castor.I go in there alot and I'm always seeing the Workers yell at people to put things back,I talked to the worker there and he said it is a daily thing,Was It always Like this?? And there is low life types that go there,I know they were robbed a few times last few years. Are These kids now are being raised differently to non respect and steal Ect.And I thought this area was somewhat decent.

    No, it's not.

BTW do you know that you need a space after punctuation? And we don't randomly capitalize verbs, articles, and nouns. Thanks.

There is no Wawa at Solly and Bustleton. You're probably talking about the one at Solly and Castor.

BTW do you know that your property crime chart ends in 2008/2009 and we're in 2012?

The data on here probably provides a more current answer to the OP's grammatically-flawed question:

Crime Statistics | Philadelphia Police Department

Overall it appears that property crime has increased over the past few years as has homicide. Other violent crimes, however, appear down.

I wouldn't say crime is getting worse, it's just getting closer. I used to stop at that Wawa, (Castor and Solly) after I got off my second job late at night. It's close to where Bustleton and Castor fork near PGW, hence the first poster's statement of the location. It was OK for a while before it became a hangout for hooligans. I stopped going there a while ago. Getting jumped by a bunch of lowlifes isn't worth it for a hoagie.

The area is decent, but its close proximity to a bus stop brings lowlifes into the area. Certain folks could turn the Badlands into a Garden of Eden and others could turn Beverly Hills into a ghetto. It's a mindset.

IF YOU BELIEVE THIS STUPID LOOKING CRIME CHART.
WOW, According to this Chart, Crime has dropped to the levels of 1965!
Then we should lay off half the Philly police department.
Wow all the crime has just disappeared off the CHART!
Who made this stupid non-informational chart?
I dare the designer of this chart to post on this board.

I wonder if they had these problems back in 65?

Flash Mob Robbers Steal $3,000 from Chicago Store. What Happened to Happy Dancing? | Work + Money - Yahoo! Shine

Charts / graphs / etc is a result of data that is logged in by someone after someone provides such data.

If a store owner doesn't bother to call the police after being robbed for the 1000th time then guess what, it never happened.

If the police DO come out and the job is tagged as "unfounded", then it never happened

If someone doesn't log in each and every indecent, then the charts are flawed

I suspect that a combination of the above is a part of the problem with the data on the chart.

LOOTING, which is basically what is being done nowadays by these flash mob crews isn't necessarily a new thing, however it usually came after, or during a riot or natural disaster. These kids have chosen to bypass the riot or disaster part and go straight to looting. Should all hell break lose, THEN the riot happens.

This I believe is a fairly new trend and that was my point.

Not really, its been happening for decades, just didn't have a cool hip name for the media to tag it. Media hype always makes something sound new(Remember when they made it sound like it was only happening here?).

But its kinda lame now, or so say the Philly kids, hell, being called a "flash mobber" is a diss now(Like being a Greaser).

No, not really. People are shi+ and have basically always been. People have been murdering one another and stealing from each other since nearly the beginning of time. I don't really get all of the hand wringing and teeth gnashing that goes on. It's unlikely that people will ever stop killing or stealing. The best that can happen is that things can be managed. There is no anarchy, not in the NE, not in Rhawnhurst, not even in the entire city of Philadelphia. Some of you really aren't happy unless you're decrying the end of days.

Now that the city and state have canceled all the funding for the poor including Public Assistance there will be more riots.

    Truth.

Also, you'd be surprised how much people steal from wawa, even in generally safe suburbs. It's no indicator of a neighborhoods downfall.
