Cowardly Punk Beats 86 year-old Woman!

As usual, cowardly philly.com took down the comments section! Guess they didn't like the responses that were too close to the truth. What is really scary is that this complex is not far from me and I often pass by this place every day! I hope they find this worthless punk, but not until he's received a copious amount of "street justice!" I would have no problems doing some diabolical brutality on this punk before he begs for death!

NBC Philly's site uses Facebook for their commenting system. You get much better, honest responses there. Not the vigilante internet racists. I'd prefer philly.com either implemented Facebook to reduce anonymous trash (NE1338912 is probably a regular) or just do away with comments altogether.

It is terrible news, and I hope that this guy gets what he deserves. That said, what would be the usefulness of allowing commentary on an article like this?

They should be afraid of the majority of the posters on their site, I don't think a news outlet trying to be taken seriously is helped by the semi-illiterate white trash who seem to dominate the comments section on that site.

Though I do find that some of the people who comment on the sports section have smart things to say from time to time.

Dimetry Worthy, of the 2200 block of Strahle Street, also has been charged with another home invasion robbery in March, police said.

Police said Worthy was arrested on Wednesday after an attempted break-in on the 2100 block of Emerson Street in Rhawnhurst, not far from where the assault victim lives.

Worth also is charged in a burglary on March 17 on the 2400 block of Hoffnagle Street in the same Rhawnhurst neighborhood.

In that case, police said, a 62-year-old woman was awakened about 2:30 a.m. by a man touching her and demanding money.

Apparently the suspect's name changed halfway through the article.

PHILADELPHIA - July 13, 2012 (WPVI) -- Police have arrested a teenager for the brutal beating of an elderly woman earlier this week in Philadelphia's Burholme section.

19-year-old Dimetry Worthy from the 2200 block of Strahle Street was arrested on Wednesday and later positively identified as the person who assaulted an 86-year-old woman while she slept inside her home.

Investigators say it was 1:25 a.m. on Wednesday July 11th when Worthy broke into the residence inside the Meadowview apartments, located on the 2100 block of Algon Street.

Story: Elderly woman brutalized in home invasion
Worthy allegedly woke the victim and beat the elderly woman, demanding money as she screamed. The teenager finally left the apartment empty handed.

The victim was transported to Frankford Torresdale Aria Hospital to be treated for an orbital fracture and facial lacerations.

Dimetry Worthy is charged with Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Robbery, Criminal Trespass, Simple Assault and related offenses.

Worthy is also charged in another attempted burglary from this month and a home invasion from March.

The first set of charges comes from an incident that occurred on Tuesday, July 10th when a 36-year-old woman reported that her 2009 Honda was parked on the 8100 block of Algon Street when it was ransacked. Another victim reported a similar incident involving her 2010 Nissan while parked on the same block.

Back on March 17th at 2:30 a.m. a home invasion was reported on the 2400 block of Hoffnagle Street. A 62-year-old woman was awakened by someone touching her and demanding money. The victim gave the suspect, later identified as Worthy, $15.00, ten dollars in quarters, two candle sticks and two bottles of vodka. In this case the victim was not injured.

She also has younger son that looks like him.
