    Default Roosevelt Blvd

As I drive up the NE area and down in different parts, I noticed that on the Blvd the construction and it looks like it's done for anyone who is involved in an accident.

Wonder if thats what it's for. I asked an officer and he told me emergency stop areas to designate. Does anyone else know? At first I thought it was pipe lines due to Byberry Rd.

Also, why do they need another traffic light around 7200 Block of Blvd? Aren't there enough traffic lights? Or did someone talk to the city and State about it?

    What is everyone elses feedback?

I noticed the new lights today. Ridiculous to have them so close together. I don't see how that will make the boulevard any safer. And I can't figure out why they removed so many cross overs.

Just noticed new traffic lights, still under wraps, northbound on the Blvd just past Red Lion Road as you come around the curve. Nice place to throw a stop in there...

But yeh, those curbside cutouts are for emergency stops and also a place for police to park as a show of presence as they say. So far I haven't seen any of them being used...

The activity on the outside of the southbound outer lanes between the Bucks County border and Byberry Road was PWD work installing a new sewer main.

Driving in to work this morning I saw yet another set of traffic lights, still wrapped, in the vicinity of Walmart. Just realized that signal, and the one just past Red Lion Rd are both located at painted crosswalks. So the question in my mind is if those new lights will only be activated by a pedestrian pushing a button, or it they will hopefully be timed to the existing lights so they don't totaly kill the flow of traffic thru those areas....

if you notice the lights, there is also new pedestrian crossing signs. they think this will cut down on people that are too lazy to walk to the corner that get hit by cars but instead in some areas it may cause more traffic congestion in neighborhoods because who wants to hit all those new lights when your trying to get somewhere

And cause more car accidents as people slam on their breaks to stop at a light 500 ft from the one they just left.
