Cool Mayfair Fallen Heroes Run and May Fair - THIS Saturday!

This years Fallen Heroes Run will honor our local fallen firefighter Joseph Konrad.

Registration starts at 7:30 at Lincoln High School in the Ryan avenue parking lot.

Pre register ( Mayfair Fallen Heroes Run Honoring Firefighter Joseph Konrad (5K) | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19136 | Saturday, May 19, 2012 @ 8:30 AM ) before Thursday, save yourself $5.00, and you are guranteed a tee shirt!

Here is this years t shirt design:

Immediately following the Run will be this years Mayfair May Fair!

From noon on there will be all kinds of activities and things for the entire family to do including sidewalk sales, drink specials at bars, pony rides, moon bounce, face panting, you name it!

Ryan avenue will be closed and once again there will be a HUGE stage set up for some local talent to play on including Boss Hydro, Zengage, Rev, Aj Slick and Soul to Soul with appearances by Mike LeCompt, Mike McCollough, Terrance Donnely, Joe Coyne, and many more. Before the bands start, the Mayfair Civic Association will be honoring Monsignor Charles McGroarty from St. Matthew Parish. This award is given each year to a neighborhood resident that has made a significant impact on our community and has done their part in making Mayfair a better place to live.

The ave will be rockin from noon until 6:00, but it ain't over yet!!

Down in the Devon District will be the May Fair After Dark portion of the event!

We hope to see everyone out and about on Saturday enjoying themselves and everything that Mayfair has to offer!

The Civic Association will be set up right at the triangle and we'll have membership Applications on hand for anyone who wants to join as well as tee shirts for sale.

We have a few red ones left, however this years shirts will be black (same lettering).

It's ALWAYS a great time on "the Ave"!
I can't hardly believe it's already the 4th "fair", and I'm sure the weather will be awesome this year for it.

    Get out there people!

I'll let people dunk me as long as the money is accounted for and goes to an approved 501c3!

I'm going to be out of town this weekend. First year I'll miss out on running the 5K. Bummer.
