I'm REALLY sorry that you feel this way Sting!

Unfortunately there's just no way to make everyone happy and the Pennypack staff tries very very hard to do so. At every show it is announced several times to please pick up your trash and to please be respectful of the neighbors. I honestly feel as though most attendees do, however occasionally you'll have one or two bad apples ruining it for the bunch.

The Festival’s ongoing mission is to promote and develop musical and other performing arts to our youth. Funds generated during the shows go towards the continued education of music to our youth. Several of the shows also give our neighborhood kids the opportunity to play on the big stage in front of hundreds of people, an opportunity that most kids will never get. I'm honored to be a part of it all and to be able to help our kids on their journey to becoming the musicians of our future.

    On another note ...

THIS Saturday, June 2nd, Pennypack will give some of our local cover bands the opportunity to play on the big stage for their family and friends.

    Check it out:

Everyone is invited to attend and as stated above, PLEASE be respectful of our neighbors - Thank You!

    See ya there!

The bandshell's been there since '75/'76. Surely you've been aware of it's existence for some time now.

Well they finally over did it Cant find parking any where and I have lived here for 30 years and NEVER had a problem with parking. There is a petition going around tonight. I guess I am NOT the only one not happy with this mess .Had some one at my door 5 mins ago AND I did sign . Every one on my block says it's gotten WAY OUT OF HAND
ME I think its time to really think of moving I can't afford to move but if I want peace then its the only way
and sad part is this will still keep going on till something really bad happens I just hope to god I am out of here before that happens because you CAN see that this has really pulled down my once nice quiet neighborhood

    Surely!
I remember as a teen watching my uncle playing there in the original Al Raymond Orchestra back then!

Tips to home shoppers....Don't buy a house on a busy street where it's hard to back out of your own driveway, near a school, gas station or convenience store, or as we did with our first house, near a parking lot behind a strip of stores... Also, don't buy near a playground, rec center and now added to the list, a band shell.
Most of these things on the surface might sound like a convenience to some people in one way or another when they are house shopping, but over time something will come out of it that changes your mind, and then you feel stuck...
And I'm not trying to be a smart aleck here, I'm just sharing my thoughts on this because we were never given any advice when we were house hunting, and over the years I've seen so many people frustrated with the area immediately around the home they chose to purchase after they were all moved in. Bad neighbors, well you can't do much to prevent that. New businesses that might be a nuisance, you have a shot. But when it comes to established landmarks that have been around for a long time, think about it before signing for that new home...

Anyway, haven't been to any concerts so far this season, but I'm hoping to make that U2 tribute. Has anyone seen their show before?
