Spring is here and we are excited to announce our next tree planting! Join us on Saturday April 21st, 2012 as we plant 50 street and yard trees all over Northeast Philadelphia. The trees are “bare root” trees, meaning they have no soil around their roots and only weigh 20-30lbs, making them easy to plant. We will have all the tools and trees but we are looking for volunteers to help us plant. Please come out and help improve the neighborhoods we live in and have lots of fun in the process!
Meet at 9 AM at the Al-Furqan Mosque at 7252 Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia (right next to the Dollar Tree Store at the intersection of Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard).
We will be planting rain or shine! Wear clothes that can get dirty and sturdy shoes.
Since our planting locations are scattered around the Northeast, we will divide into 7 planting groups that will travel in cars to each location. You do not need a car to participate.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
If you have any questions, you can reach us at 215-694-9607. You can also visit us online at
