Graffiti is ruining the neighborhood

This is the Planet Aid Box behind the Hunan Chinese Restaurant at the intersection of Chandler, Hasbrook, and Oxford. Last Thursday, a private citizen emailed me to have me clean the Planet Aid box, which I did along with several other graffiti tags in the vicinity. The vicious little thug re-tagged the Planet Aid box as well as several other properties. I want this little SOB so bad I can taste the blood!

I cleaned this knucklehead's graffiti on Thursday, July 2nd only to have it reappear today! Justin, is this the same idiot's tag you saw at Bustleton and Tyson?

Thumbs up to CBS Outdoor Advertising, however. I called them at 7:00 AM yesterday while walking my dogs. When I got home from work around 5:15 PM both tags were gone, but there is still a little red paint residue left. You cannot make out the tags anymore. They did not replace the panels, so the acid etched stuff is still on the top parts. All in all CBS has been very responsive when I report problems with their bus shelters.

I was in your neck of the woods this morning and I passed an "xr" tag on the mailbox at Castor and Cottman. Unfortunately I wasn't in my truck, where I always carry cleaning supplies, or I would have gladly hopped out and cleaned it off.

Thanks anyway! XR-> is the same loser I caught tagging a mailbox at Cottman and Rising Sun next to Crown Chicken a couple weeks ago. I guess he doesn't know vandalizing Federal property is a felony and if the postal inspector catches his butt, he's done for!

Just submitted the pictures I posted along with several others to the 2nd and 7th Police Districts. I even had people from SEPTA looking at them. When these little creeps are caught they are going DOWN!!! Apparently this knucklehead XR-> is responsible for about $40K in damage to SEPTA property!

There are two planet aid drop boxes outside of the Rite Aid at Oxford & Levick and both have been thoroughly tagged.

There are two planet aid drop boxes outside of the Rite Aid at Oxford & Levick and both have been thoroughly tagged.

I'm aware of it and there's at least 20 layers of paint on them from constant repainting. Those Planet Aid boxes not only are a frequent target of vandals, but you'll find homeless people rummaging through them as well. There's a Planet Aid box on Dungan Road and Rhawn that you'll frequently see a homeless woman going through.

In one of your earlier posts you said you saw him near Crown Chicken wearing tan shorts and a white shirt. Is that a uniform for a school? Could we check out schools along the bus route to see if any have that uniform and then contact the school with his description? Or maybe someone on here has a child who goes to the school and knows the kid. Just an idea. I can't stand these vandals.

It didn't look like a school uniform. It looked more like your typical Ambercrombie & Fitch apparel. He also looked a bit old to be a school kid, but then again, his obese physique might've made him look older than he was.

I spotted two more fresh tags of this loser "XR." One on the maintenance shed near the SEPTA R8 tracks crossing Oxford Avenue and on the concrete retainer wall on Oxford Avenue near Bleigh closest to the Auto Zone.

Here's to hoping this schmuck gets hit by a train the next time he tags.

I would most prefer it if this kid starts "beef" with another tagger, they both manage to off themselves; two less taggers blighting our neighborhoods. This idiot has already managed to attract the kind of attention he doesn't want. The PPD, SEPTA Police, and I am looking for him. I brought him to the attention of the entire neighborhood last night at our monthly Town Watch/Homeowner's Association meeting. Everybody there got a good look at all the damage he's caused via the copious amount of photos I had on hand.

Maybe we should take out a full page ad in the NE Times declaring XR the "King of the Northeast!"... Then, either his little ego will finally be satisfied at his major lifetime achievement and he will find a new hobby, or what you said above will happen.
I'll never forget the jackass many years ago that spray painted "King Of The Blue Line" along the top of a building next to the M/F EL tracks, after of course marking up everything he could get his tag onto from Frankford to Center City. Boy, he must have some proud parents. One can only wonder at the goals he's achieved in the years since...

No. We didn't catch the little scumbag, but I used my connections with a man from John Perzel's office to get the entire area around the 7800 blocks of Oxford and Hasbrook cleaned by Community Services today. It looks fantastic and you'd never know that XR and his idiot friends were there.

Of course I found more of this loser's tags and promptly cleaned them this afternoon. This one was on the maintenance shed(?) near the SEPTA R8 tracks where it crosses Oxford:
