    Default Snowfall Total Northeast Philly

My wife & I are snowed in at my in-laws' house in North Jersey (we live in northeast philly)...I'm wondering how much snow did northeast Philly get in the storm?

North Jersey generally got more snow. The official tally for Philadelphia was 12.4", but the NE might have a tad, but not much, more.

Yeah I'll guessimate between 12 and 14 inches fell in the NE vs the NW of Philly.

    Still got 12 over here...

Really?!?!?! We got that much?? Sure didn't seem that much to me! Only took minutes to shovel, and didn't even have to dig my car out!!

I shoveled like crazy. My house is the one with the 4 foot drifts covering all the walks. Every two hours it was re-covered.

My house looked like it only got about 7 or 8 inches, but I didn't go outside until Monday morning after the wind was blowing like crazy all night. Maybe it moved some of the snow. *shrug* All in all, it was less snow than I expected. The front of my house didn't look like Hoth like it did last winter.

That reminds me of an old joke. Why was Frosty the Snowman smiling? The snow blowers were coming!

A friend of mine lives in Wildwood. He said he went sledding down the boardwalk ramps Monday.

At least we didn't have the same problems that New Yorkers did.
