I think I'm going to get out of this thread as quickly as I got in.
lets end this.. Okay?? Life is tough enough.. Its all good. Philly and Jersey..
Lets start talking about other nice things
How about them phillies??? Whos going to any games this summer?
you're an a$$..
OMG how can you NOT find humor in this? OP moves to Jeysey but comes to a PS blog then gets crazy upset bc people won't tell him way to go! And note that many here have congratulated him! But he's still looking for some approval on a blog? come on now and for crying out loud is Jeysey we are talking about!!
uh sure what ever.....
Millionaire sports stars are not people whose judgment I respect. NFL stands for Not For Long. Easy come, easy go. I don't emulate rappers, millionaire sports stars, or general celebrities. The kind of place that Charles Barkley and Allen Iverson would choose to buy a home is probably not the place for me. Don't look for me in Voorhees, Gladwyne, or Malibu.
I never implied that Jersey is generally poor. The state government is broke, but the population is high income (was, actually. The collapse on Wall Street caused Maryland to pass Jersey and Connecticut). I merely stated that cheesy people are scarily overrepresented in the population of Jersey, enough that they move the culture. This explains Jersey's terrible national reputation.
I think that this thread hit a nerve because if all of the responsible people in the Northeast moved to Jersey both places would be ruined (Jersey more than it has already been - there are still some rural spots in Burlington County that developers would love to pave over). You would essentially have another Detroit, or another Camden / Cherry Hill (formerly Delaware Township). That is not outside the realm of possibility, it would be a very bad outcome, and I think that people are very concerned about it. Philly is trying really hard to be more relevant, but the book isn't written yet. The same problem exists in Delaware County. If all of the responsible people from DelCo move to Chester County or Greater Center City (both of which are happening), who will rush into the giant sucking sound that would be (is) DelCo? Certainly Chester County isn't getting nicer as a result of all of this development. Thank God that for decades Burlington County was hard to develop (and I think still is) and that Lower Bucks is already built out - otherwise the Northeast would already have gone the route of North Philly - abandonment. That would really hurt the city, maybe putting us down the path of Baltimore, St. Louis, Cleveland, etc.
Malloy: my mansion knowledge isn't that great. I'm gonna guess Newport, but it's a stab in the dark. Newport is a dump, by the way - I don't recommend it.

Well I have a foot on both sides of the Delaware but I can certify that NJ SUCKS. All I can say is don't let PA follow Jersey's lead, in any respect. I guarantee if you absolutely don't what Jersey does, you at least won't go rocketing into a sh!thole.
If you believe people should work till they die to pay for a government worker to retire at 50, you're a Democrat. Otherwise, you're a Republican. All other differences between the parties are trivial.
Ahhh. That was supposed to make sense?
But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. Matthew 12:25 (New King James Version)
I can't believe you people are still arguing about this!
NJbound moved to NJ. He likes it there. We like it here.
