Default Any Calm, Quiet and Beautiful place outside north of Philadelphia?

I recently moved to Bensalem PA from Pittsburgh. I used to go up to a quiet place where there's a small creek, its beautiful and great place to sit and hear nothing but water gushing. I was wondering if somebody knows a place like this near Bensalem or Philadelphia. Please drop me if you are aware of some natural beauty around this area.

    rush is a farm.

Tyler is crowded. Core Creek is nice.

    Pennypack isn't bad for quiet.

Also there are riverfront parks like Linden and Pennypack's section behind the prisons on the Delaware.

    Tookany Creek.

I'm not seeing all these supposed bikes in all these million dollar bike lanes.

    Default Neshaminy Creek

Check out the Neshaminy Creek (Crik). There are somesome wonderful spots that wouldn't imagine existed this close to Philly. In Bensalem, drive about 10 mins up Hulmeville Road from Street Road until you come to the creek. Look for a place to park and explore. The Hulmeville Falls are right there. Pennypack also offers some really nice spots. The Wissahickon as well.

There is a really lovely little spot on Forbidden Drive by the Wissahickon, just above the Valley Green Inn. On a weekday you would probably have it all to yourself.

Trail Guide - Ted Stiles Preserve at Baldpate Mountain - NJ Trails Association

If you really want to get away without traveling far from the city, I highly recommend the Ted Stiles Preserve in Mercer County. 2,000 plus acres and almost no one else there. About 10 minutes north of I-95.

pa state parks are nice (french creek, rickets glen etc). Tyler is nice and a good size not every where is crowded. Core Creek is cool. New hope is a pleasant touristy area. Nockamixion & Ralph Stover are cool too.

Are you looking for a place where you can just quickly drive there and hang out for a bit? I noticed some people suggest NJ and PA parks that, while close, aren't exactly around the corner. In Delco, there is Ridley Creek State Park. I thinkyou are looking for something like that, but in Bucks County

Playwicki park (Neshaminy runs through it) may also be a spot you are interested in but that could get noisy too.

The parks is not maintained at all and the park is used as a farm more than a park. I have been there a few times and have seen homeless people with camps set up in the woods. I got an uneasy feeling every time i was there. It doesn't seem safe. Plus, it is small and not that nice - aesthetics wise.

Is there any water flowing through Benjamin Rush State Park? I know the Poquessing is flows right through that area.

Is Benjamin Rush Park officially open?

The last I knew it was state-owned but the state never spent the funds to develop the park.

I have gone in off of Route 1 near the Lincoln Motel (been a few years). I think the park is open but there is no maintenance done at all. The portion of park near Route 1 is terrible.

Like desolate pointed out, it is used as a community garden. I haven't been to this part of the park.
