    Default New Construction on Ogontz

Some projects going on along Ogontz:
    1. The McDonald's by Cheltenham and Ogontz is getting a makeover. New brown façade going in.
    2. Next door to it a small new strip mall is being built. Four stores, according to L&I, one of which is to be a laundromat. 18 parking spaces.
    3. A new one-story commercial structure is being built by Washington Lane and Ogontz. No tenant info. It fronts Ogontz.
    4. Two new townhomes were built along the 1700 block of Belfield Ave by the bottom of Ogontz, just south of the Logan School. Plumbob is the registered contact; no info, however, exists on Onion Flats' website.

The project along the 1700 block of Belfield interests me, largely because it's not exactly the kind of neighborhood where I'd expect to see new construction, and in particular new construction in Onion Flats' vein. What's going on up there? Are they supposed to appeal to La Salle professors or something?
"It was one of those moments that would have had dramatic music if my life were a movie, but instead I got a radio jingle for some kind of submarine sandwich blaring over the store's ambient stereo. Man, the movie of my life must be really low-budget." Dead Beat

It was a government subsidized project. Very innovative project- modular construction.

It's mentioned briefly in this article:
