Everyday is another shooting in North Philly. I wonder if he had a license to carry. It seems crime in that area has skyrocketed or is this claim unsubstantiated?
Can we get an lol from block captain Brenda?
Darn Temple students are shootin' up the 'hood again! If it weren't for those nasty Temple thugs, North Philly would be a peaceful, clean, and prosperous area!
So this is somehow a laughing matter when residents of North Philly are shot and a tragedy when it involves Temple students?
Very classy.
Is it just possible you've misinterpreted the sentiment here? The Temple student was just hanging out on his own porch and a little POS thug decided he was an easy mark for money and shot him. But the neighborhood turned on the Temple student for shooting back. And while it's a shame that nice people get shot by others, I would daresay that most of the people being shot might otherwise do the shooting in these neighborhoods plagued by this behavior. You end up with uncooperative witnesses and a perpetual problem. At some point sympathy starts to run low. So while not a laughing matter in either case, it's easier to feel sympathy for the student(s) since they tend to be innocent and not part of the problem than it is to feel sympathy for others. Cold? Maybe.
