North Philly train station question

I've heard that there is a connection to the Broad Street Subway on Glenwood Avenue near the North Philly train station. Is that true? How do I get there?

There is an exit at glenwood and broad. The old connection is long closed. There used to be a covered walkway from the station to the old subway headhouse which is now a ritas

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the question, but when I went to New York a couple months ago, I walked into the plaza and I was able to go underground and reach the platform for the regional rail. That would have been great to know, before I walked almost around the corner, to reach the platform, near the parking lot.
