There are a number of very inexpensive condos for sale in both The Homestead on 8th Street and the Crossings at 35th.

Any information on either would be appreciated.

The Homestead is a nice location if you like being right in the middle of everything.

However, it's an old hotel. So the condo is just a hotel room that they stuck a mini-fridge and mini-electric stove inside. So you're basically buying an unrenovated hotel room, which is why it's do cheap. And there is no parking.

Thanks for responding so quickly. I knew the Homestead was an old place as a relative had lived there when it was an assisted living facility. Also knew about the lack of parking which could be very difficult in the summer when even the paid lots are full. A realtor told us there were "issues" with the building and I was wondering if there were other problems as well.

I have checked Trip Advisor for the Crossings and the main complaint seems to be that it is far from the boardwalk. That would be no problem for us.
