    1st Starr bailed....now this? Its a really cool space...I hope it keep chugging on and they get people in there actually spending $$$

    When did Starr bail? I didn't read about that and last time down in AC they were open. Still have them listed on his website.

    I was not clear. He bailed out of Teplitskys. The other 2:

    Restaurateur Stephen Starr filed a $20 million lawsuit in April against The Pier's developers and landlords, including Taubman, alleging he had been deceived into opening two restaurants there because another well-known restaurateur also was going to open a restaurant and nightclub there. That never happened.
    Owner wants out of mortgage on Pier Shops at Caesars, but is willing to manage the property - pressofAtlanticCity.com

    Wow! I was just there in August! Of course, the only thing that bought there was some makeup at the MAC Store!

    My observation from a visit to AC this summer: people window-shop at the Pier...and spend their money at the Outlets on Michigan Ave.

    It was the wrong image for the wrong crowd. They should have kept the pier as it was before it was turned into "high end" stores...a Deptford style mall with a fairly impressive food court.
