Wildwood Pizza Tour

On a specific night for the last couple summers my cousin and his motley crew have been going around the boardwalk and rating all of Wildwood's established pizza shops. When I first heard about it last year I encouraged him to blog about his experiences and the results and apparently he's jumping in. Pizza tour '10 happens Friday August 6th:

Little Nicky's is my personal favorite. I haven't tried Santino's yet though!

Little Nicky's has always been my favorite too, but that's probably just because my family has always stayed near it.

Winner was Franconi's, never ate there. Little Nicky's was 5th.

Yes! Results are posted! So far it seems like the Mack and Sam's pizza fanclubs are really duke-ing it out. Sam's didn't rank too well this year and a few people are throwing fits of rage as a result!

The old Sam's/Macs playground brawl. I don't even need to open the website. You need not go any further than 26th and the boardwalk for the best pizza ever. I think people ride the Macs bandwagon because of Mac of Manco in OC.

its Macks btw...

we did our own pizza tour last week and Macks def won over the bland and undercooked Sams..

besides Macks in WW was there years before Mack and Mancos in OC.

Pardon the missing "K." I'm surprised that you got an undercooked pizza from Sam's. Bland is just something that I can't see being the case. It does not matter who was there first. Manco has more of a reputation for superiority in pizza than both Sam's and MacK's.

Mack's is my favorite - always has been, probably always will be. My sister has always been a diehard Sam's fan but had Mack's 2 weeks ago and she said they blow Sam's away and she didn't know what she was missing. I heard great things about Duva's. I'm glad to see Alex's make the list as the owner is a friend of my husband.

I have had Mack's several times and I think it's good but Sam's always is better to me IMHO. I wonder if the Sam's and Mack's staff ever talk about this?

Sam's is just ok and I have never had Mack's. The best i have had on the Boardwalk is Little Nicky's (which was 5th on this list). I will definently be trying 3 Brother's when we are on vacation in August. It is right near where we stay. I have walked by it hundreds of times and never thought to check it out.

Mack's reminds me a bit of Alex's in Roxborough with the sauce on top and it has a little sweetness to it.

If it is like Alex's then it has to be the best on the baordwalk. Nowhere in Wildwood is there a pizza a good as Alex's!!

Was at Mack's Pizza on Monday (excellent as always). Busy as usual, they were opening their upstairs seating area.

Walked down to Sam's Pizza. There was a long line waiting to get in. I walked over to where the pizza pies were so
I could see what their pizza looked like. I wasn't convinced it's the better pizza, but it must be good if 30-40 people
were standing in line to go eat it, or maybe they were just opening up the inside eating area so a line was forming???

There is always a line to get in Sam's...I Definitely like Sam's better but it is totally different than Mack's which IMO is very greasy...I will be down a lot in august and plan to try the top 5 on last years list..Pizza tour=Brilliant!
