Really sorry to hear that. I’ve seen that band a bunch of times with no kid in tow but Sindi needs to recognize her audience for sure. Dropping an F bomb at the end of the night is one thing but screaming it over and over again at 4pm, is ridiculous.

We were going to go at about the same time you went but we were spent from being on the beach all day that we skipped. I was thinking about running over there myself just to see the changes but that also fell off the plate.

I know the band ruined it for you but as a frequenter myself who hasn’t been there this season, any other thoughts?

To your previous mention of the Ice House, we really enjoy that place whether for drinks or for dinner. The roof patio and the Mediterranean feel are great. We watched a few of World Cup games there last year and had a blast.
We were honestly there for like 5 minutes total so I couldn't really comment on much other than the music.... I did get a beer which was literally lukewarm... terrible.... the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed but so did staff in years past. For a holiday weekend that is to be expected.... I wrote the new manager and he wrote back apologizing and claimed that he was unaware that the band did that.... I may give it another shot but ONLY when the Sindi Raymond band ISN'T there. Just stick to Tommy Zito. He is a bit wierd but at least clean...

I have reallyt gotten into the IceHouse.... Much more laid back than some of the other places down there. The food there is really really good. I just worry that they may not stay open very long.... The outside roof deck gets a a nice crowd but the inside dining area, which I had heard was what they thought would be their bread and butter, doesn't ever seem to have much of a crowd....

Up until a few Saturdays ago I had nothing against the Sindi Raymond band and want to make it clear that, in the past I have seen and enjoyed them immensley. Maybe a bit wierd at times, but honestly always put on a nice show. I will never see them again, but that's my choice. I am sure that the band couldn't care less and that's fine. That said you, my friend, are a clown. The Wharf at 4pm is not a place for some one to act like a blithering idiot for the sole purpose of acting like a blithering idiot. Hahaha...the bands following?!?!?! Seriously, strung out crack headed looking people walking around wearing black Sindi Raymond tee shirts and slobbering on themselves is hardly cool, awesome or rocking. Got is bucko? Having gone to the Wharf for YEARS now, I know that MOST of the happy hour crowd are families and not the 12 to 14 nimrods hogging the stage area to get a closer glimpse of Sindi Raymond's bare feet.

I got an idea Bobby McGee, take your anti establisment, censorship sucking ass and jump off the Rio Grande bridge. See I can post this because young children aren't typically trolling this blog site, unlike the Wharf between 3pm and 6pm (happy hour). That place at that time has ALWAYS been patroned by families with young children. There is a time and place sucka.

Most kids know the lyrics to this song to be this, and not the unecessarily obscenity laced version that the band performed:
I see you driving 'round town
With the girl I love and I'm like,
    Forget you!
    Oo, oo, ooo
I guess the change in my pocket
    Wasn't enough I'm like,
    Forget you!
    And forget her too!
I said, if I was richer, I'd still be with ya
And although there's pain in my chest
I still wish you the best with a...
    Forget you!
    Oo, oo, ooo

Rock on dude! Get it going a bit. Hahaha.... gotta love morons like you, making my point one word at a time. Oh yeah, nice first post here on the site, Sindi (or whatever the frig your real name is).

Mr. Reberson, I am sorry you're visit to the Wharf was "disgusting" but that was never my intention. The person who posted perviously was not ME, if I have anything to say to you I will say it directly. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

If this made you so up-set why didn't you ask the band to tone it down a bit ???? From reading your posts here sounds like you've see this band / duo in the past as has alot of people me being one of them. They have been playing and pleasing crowds of people for YEARS, Sindi has a great voice and Jimmy is an awesome guitar player. I also play the South Jersey area and use the dreaded " F " word I try to make sure little kids are not running around BUT, your at a BAR. You know where people get drunk and use loud outside voices and drop the " F " bomb you fear. So my first question is why didn't you go to Chuck E Cheese and sneak in beer so you could be drunk around your children there. See my issue is more about you being an irresponsible parent taking your children to a BAR so you can drink infront of them. So now thats out there what is better for your kid .........being exposed to the ARTS or having a father thats a DRUNK.............please understand we as performers can only do our best and if that means not everyone likes the show OH WELL................TO: Sindi, keep rockin kid your show is one of the best !!!! Yep, Yep you are a dope. The Wharf is a BAR/RESTAURANT that has ALWAYS been a family friendly enviornment. Now, if I am at say, the Ship N' Shore with my kids then that would be a problem. Heck, if I was at THE WHARF at 9pm that would even be a problem. Get it Stippy boy? 3pm on a Saturday IS NOT the time or place for that behavior. Sorry dude, it just isn't. By the way, I don't want to slight Ship N' Shore, it is one of my favorite bars in Wildwood, just not a place for the kids.

When at the shore I typically take my kids to the beach, Whale watching, the Cape May Zoo, the rides up the boardwalk and, OH MY LORD, on occassion, to The Wharf for dinner on the deck !! I am not gonna lie, I will have a few beers when there and I don't feel like that is irresponsible at all. I find it pretty interesting that The Wharf, which by your definition is a bar where kids should never be, has a "Christmas in July" party every year that includes a boat parade and a visit by Santa Clause (maybe adults still believe Danny Salmmy Mammy?!?). HAHAHAHAHA, yeah, a purely adult event.

Seriously, I am done with this argument. The bottom line is, yes, Sindi Raymond is talented and, up until a few weeks ago, I always enjoyed her shows. As far as "Who Dat Band"...... Never heard of ya.

If you people look at Reberson’s history on this site, he has always mentioned nothing but great things about Wildwood. The guy loved the Wharf to death. Obviously, his experience really rubbed him the wrong way. Like it or not, younger families are a big, big demographic in WW and down the shore in general. The Wharf like many other drinking establishments, cater to families. Take away the families from the Wharf and there are no paying gigs there and probably isn’t even a restaurant.

I think the Sindi Raymond band is great and I always enjoy them. Rather than trash Reberson, maybe everyone should collectively acknowledge that people like me and Reb are your fan and customer base. Maybe take the criticism to heart and leave the F Bombs back stage until the sun goes down.

Default So you had a bad day

Boy someone was having bad day. Wife & I have been a follower of Sindi Raymond band for some 7-8 years, maybe more. True they may twist some lyrics with an inuendo or two but there has never been a repeated use of the profanity you describe here. Wasn't there that day so I can't attest to what happened but there is a song out there by 'Buckcherry' that fits the description. They've played it, by request only, and Sindi has always warned the crowd what was coming. I know how much she loves kids and she's really kind & gentle. Anyway, this is a thread about the Wharf, not Sindi Raymond band. If you want to bad mouth the wharf, stand in line behind me.

WOW! You are delusional. You actually attacked me first there bud, and if I remember correctly, resorted to some name calling yourself. I can only assume that this was because you were offended that I don't like having my kids cursed in front of at a family oriented outdoor bar/restaurant at 4 o'clock in the afternoon? You also made some out of line assumptions (i.e. I am a "DRUNK" and somehow an irresponsible parent because I bring children to what has always been a family friendly happy hour for dinner) About me getting a little testy with you, you are right, it was probably uncalled for. I should not have stooped to your level.

World Famous though? Nah.... like I said, never heard of ya bud. Sorry.

Hey, I agree and had always thought very highly of the band. Maybe you are right (at least I hope so). T

The song in question is actually call "Forget you" by Cee Lo Green (not sure if I spelled it right).
