Fema does need an overhaul though not private. It would help if people would stop building in known hazardous areas such as the coast of the Atlantic Ocean or coastal wetlands and marshes, or sand spits that any reasonable person looking at a map would say "that's a stupid place for a house".
Fema coverage must be kept for only marginal risk property, not for dreamers who wish to walk off the deck onto the beach.
They got hit and they'll get hit again, it's the Atlantic stupid. Prior large storms were'nt as much a big deal because nobody was living there then.
