Obama said Jay-Z's story was "what Made In America means". I'm guessing a reference to "making it" as the head of a record label and a successful artist from humble beginnings living in the projects of NYC.
The style of music Jay-Z creates has been labeled misogynistic by numerous critics (insofar as he uses the word bitch in various songs).
HEADS ARE EXPLODING
Writing legislator designed to undermine women's rights >>>>>>> Endorsing a rapper who has dirty lyrics
Political discourse in this country = HURRRR DURRRRRRRR
Well if Obama wanted to use a rags to riches success story, a better example would have been Larry David.
I believe David is a Democrat. He grew up in a housing project in NYC, then became executive producer of one of the best comedies of all time, Seinfeld. His other show Curb Your Enthusiasm is also funny.
Defend Obama? I'm a Republican. I'm just defending people against general ignorance. And like I said, I'm not schooling you on his other music, just the song you're trying to hold up as evidence because you're wrong in this particular instance and now you're getting your back up about it.
Aaaannnd more ignorance about the song in question. Do you know what the follow up to that lyric is? "This is not a hoe in the sense of having a pussy". Translated "I'm not talking about a woman" and then he proceeds to identify the gender of the person he is talking about as MALE in almost the very next sentence. In fact, nowhere in the song does he actually reference women other than to say he's not talking about women.
Look folks, I don't care one whit if you think Jay-Z is misogynistic. For all I know he is. Just stop ignorantly using the song "99 Problems" to prove your point because you're wrong about that particular song.

ACCOUNTABILITY WE CAN BELIEVE IN
wanted for conspiring to cover up public corruption
reward or prosecution inevitable
I agree especially when there is a REAL War on Women going on all over the world, have your face mask fall out and have your nose chopped off, or starving to death because you don't have a man to walk with you to the market, or getting stoned to death in the middle of the street because they think you are a adultress, ethnic cleansing, sex trafficing, the list is endless and our country does nothing to the government who OK this, they give them million in Federal Aid.
