Default 4 Indiana Democrats Face Election Fraud Charges

4 Indiana Dems Charged With Election Fraud In 2008 Presidential Race | Fox News

Felony charges related to election fraud have touched the 2008 race for the highest office in the land.

Prosecutors in South Bend, Ind., filed charges Monday against four St. Joseph County Democratic officials and deputies as part of a multiple-felony case involving the alleged forging of Democratic presidential primary petitions in the 2008 election, which put then-candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton on the Indiana ballot.

The officials are accused of taking part in a scheme to fake signatures and names on the primary petitions needed to run for president. Court papers say the plan was hatched by local Democratic Party officials inside the local party headquarters.
FYI, CBS is reporting it too.
If you believe people should work till they die to pay for a government worker to retire at 50, you're a Democrat. Otherwise, you're a Republican. All other differences between the parties are trivial.

If CNN reported this or MSNBC, then people on this blog would probably respond.

So out laziness they forged signatures to get both leading candidates on the ballot in their own primary. They probably would have done Edwards too except he had already dropped out at this point. Forging signatures is no joke but at least they were giving registered Democratic voters more choices, not giving an unfair advantage to one side or the other.

The stupidity of this is that Indiana, like Pennsylvania, could just lower the threshold to get on the ballot and there would be far less temptation to do idiotic stunts like this. But they don't because for local elections, state rep and the like, incumbents like having a tougher threshold to get on the ballot so established incumbents don't have to face challengers as often.

I would say the lesson here (besides don't take shortcuts) is that voter choice is worth having a relatively easier standards to get on the ballot. Its stupid to require so many signatures to get on the ballot for incumbemt protection in primaries that you get tempted to cheat on routine filings like this for bigger elections.

If Fox reported this story it would immediately be shot down as a lie.

    Nothing new in Indiana:

And then listen to him slander the Indiana Governor, who he said also did this:

Indiana so dumb. The funny thing? None of this would have been stop by the Voter ID law. But you know what would stop this? If they stop paying people money for every form the fill with names.
