That was never proven in many cases .especially mine and most others., at the end of the (our) trial our govt quoted "that if our jurors ever thought we had accepted a tip during our tenure as plumbing inspectors to find us guilty
In the best light of our federal govt."
I have been posting in here of how some of these rip offs being declared are rip-offs to the taxpayer's for quite some time
I never said it was right either, but from over a month of trial and 160 plumbers I know that I made quite a few enemies among these plumbers writing violations for shoddy work and also for work never done without permits

When I was charged by our federal govt. It was for racketeering, extortion, conspiracy, and interstate commerce destroying which I still do not believe to be true if i did I certainly would have charged more then 30 bucks a year. but that was the conclusion
our federal govt subpoenaed 160 licensed plumbers to our trial who spoke for over a month , while being repeatedly reminded in the "best light of our federal govt."
I have also NEVER denied who I was In fact my name on philly blog was my actual name.

1- because I did go numerous times to complain about these thefts and frauds.
2- that the majority of those i spoke to already knew about these thefts and frauds and chose to ignore them

One would be surprised in the amount of work being done by unscrupulous contractors, in fact I alone caught more than 8 contractors a week, upon which only 2 would not get a permit and I would have to send to court for not complying with the phila administrative code.
I wonder how many they are catching now, or if the permit count for L&I has increased or decreased ?

Why was the phila. administrative code changed ? and why is it no longer available on the internet ?
Why is the city of phila allowing photos of holes in the ground as proof that work was done, and how much work is now being done on old permits which I personally inspected, which most taxpayers went in debt for thru sears and others which were billed on there credit card.

yes I was 1 of the plumbing inspectors who worked for the city of phila who while on patrol found jobs (List can be found here) being done without permits and without any inspections & in fact no work at all was being done correctly . being paid for with taxpayer money fraudulently being billed to the taxpayers in the name of helping the poor. ( but in reality what they were doing was being reimbursed by the federal govt for ignoring these thefts and frauds to the poor. , Who I believed were interested in these kinds of thefts and frauds to bring them to a stop. I Immediately became a TARGET of our federal govt who convicted me of accepting tips of 30 bucks a year after a month of trial with numerous fbi agents sitting in my courtroom after 9-11-01 thru 9-11-02.
but this is not about me I served my time of 5 years for racketeering , extortion, conspiracy and interstate commerce destroying as did many others, after all we were just the scapegoats for a much bigger crime against the poor and the indigent of phila.
