This is hilarious stuff to me.
MFA is a company that invests in mortgage backed securities guaranteed by the fed.
MFA is currently paying a 12.5% dividend.
How is that frickin' possible? They invest in insured mortgage paper?
I think the answer is leverage, but as NEwton said an equal and opposite reaction,
someone somewhere is paying for it?
