Germantown laptop repair recommendations?

My laptop is a mess. I don't think it's a virus. I'm pretty sure I'll need xp reinstalled. Recommendations for a local, rea$onable laptop repair nerd please.

I had a great experience with Chris Taylor (TaylorTech - Home Page). He's in East Falls, but he fixed my laptop in a day; the price was incredibly reasonably, especially when compared with the other quotes I had gotten and he's really a nice person.

Unless you have a newer, very high end machine, is it really worthwhile to fix laptops anymore? Maybe for data recovery I suppose but otherwise, a few hours of billable work would go a long way toward buying you a new one since a middle of the road laptop seems to run abound $500 now. If you’re running XP, I assume your laptop is at least a few years old.
