Sunday morning was a wash due to weather, but I saw some of the action from my living room window from 1-3 this morning. I caught maybe 5 or 6 bright meteors, only one of them leaving a trail for a second or two. You may still see several meteors an hour for the next few mornings--nothing like the 40-100 that are possible on the peak days, but it still might be worth staying up for if you have the time and the weather is nice.

I couldn't readily identify Perseus because of light pollution but I had a general idea of where too look once I saw Cassiopeia. I'm no astronomer but this might help: Face Polaris (North) and then rotate yourself about 45 degrees to the East (turn to the right). The meteors I saw were in an area between about 45 degrees above the horizon and directly overhead when facing that position (more or less Northeast).

One landed in my yard. It's now resting on my mantle.

thanks for the info on where to look. I tried last night but had no luck. I'll try again tonight.
