So you're an idiot that doesn't know what the word "maybe" and "okay" mean. I can admit that I should have said "burglaries" instead of "home invasions" to be technically accurate, but you attacked me for essentially saying that she likely DID NOT have much to worry about.
The topper is that you were actually wrong, you pompous boob, but way to totally ignore actual facts there another poster presented. Now because you are a stubborn ass, I will make a huge deal out of what I initially did not consider to be much of an issue.
I know you magically discerned that burglaries only happen in "bad" parts of the city you've heard about, like my neighborhood, but police data indicates otherwise. That's right, criminals do actually travel to wealthier areas to steal **** from people's homes, as unbelievable as that sounds. Here's what my neighborhood looks like:
Egad, look at all those burglaries! Now let's look at Mt Airy, where no one has heard of B&E's:
So in the last 30 days there were 12 burglaries in my slice of West Philly, and 9 around the central portion of Mt. Airy. Now, given that my zip (19143) has a population density of 23,876 people per square mile and Mt Airy (19119) is 10,176 per sq mi, that means a given person in the last month was actually MORE LIKELY to have their home burglarized in Mount Airy than University City/inner West Philly. But hey, who cares about facts and stuff when you can just make unsourced assertions.
Mt. Airy is a wonderful, attractive neighborhood, and definitely has way less violent crime than a lot of the city. But it's next to large, less wealthy area and suffers from sporadic burglaries. Sorry.
