Feeling some guilt for missing the prior years cleanup, I headed out on cleanup day 2011 attempting to spruce up the neglected section of harvey by lincoln drive.

1 saturday turned into weeks of nights and weekends, and eventually i was able to clear the sidewalks and streets in both directions of leaves, trash and weeds.

I took a walk down harvey last week and the results were depressing.

Our local scumbags have re-littered the block with their fast food trash and beer cans.

Short dumpers have continued to discard their concrete, car batteries and construction waste on the side of the road with impunity.

Erosion has wiped out much of the earth below the sidewalks, pretty soon the concrete will begin to collapse.

I feel like this section of harvey is a gateway to germantown which should be maintained by the city.

Does anyone agree?
