So, my boyfriend went to pick up a slice at Mario's Pizza yesterday afternoon around 2:30pm and found several squad cars there when he arrived. Apparently, a black male held up the guys at Mario's at gunpoint, took their money (and credit card machine, too) and then ran into the dry cleaner's next door.
He did the same to them, but apparently they all ran and locked themselves in a back room, leaving the guy to wrestle the register out of the place. This drycleaner has been hit 3 times in the last year! Mario's had been robbed by this same guy once before. Police said that they had a security camera photo of the guy from ANOTHER gunpoint robbery he had committed earlier that day!
His description- 6'2" black male, medium build, black jeans and a white shirt. If anyone knows of a composite drawing of this guy, or has a photo- please post it!
I have had it with this s**t, I really have. I am sick and tired of working hard to EARN what I have, only to have some POS with a misplaced sense of entitlement just take it. We have been burgularized twice in a 6 month period last year on the 100 block of Benezet Street and now every time I turn around, there is a report of another burgulary/robbery in CH.
The second time we were burgularized last year, the officer that came out told us to call the police is we saw anyone that "didn't belong there", like blacks or Mexicans. These were the officer's words, not mine. I had been told by a different officer that CH residents tend to NOT CALL police when they see suspicious people in areas where they do not live or have a reason to be because they suffer from white guilt. I was one of those people for a long time, but no more.
Slavery is wrong - time has taught the world this. And I will not be effectively enslaved by enriching those who see fit to take what I worked hard to create/buy. I encourage those of CH to think twice before they say to themselves "calling the police would be a prejudiced thing for me to do" when their gut tells them otherwise.
