Wissahickon Neighborhood sign destroyed!

I was unpleasantly surprised to see the new Wissahickon neighborhood sign is demolished! Any idea what happened?

How long will the East Falls sign last? People keep bouncing off of the pedestrian island around it, and one even impaled her vehicle on it. It's only a matter of time before one of them gets through in this bizarre game of "Space Invaders".

I thought for sure that sign would be destroyed first. I see people making the left turn from Kelly to Midvale come close to hitting that thing all the time.

That left turn from Kelly onto Midvale has to be the most confusing in the region. I think the Do Not Enter and Enter Here signs make it worse. Imagine a person, unfamiliar with the intersection, trying to make a left turn at night.

We have a rule in this country that traffic generally keeps to the right. It's really not all that hard.

I insisted that the protective boulders be as large as possible. I still think they're a little skimpy. The bigger, the better. The curbs are beat up / blackened where the cars keep hitting them - I just checked them on Monday, both at Midvale and at Calumet.
