    Default Sunoco/aplus re-opening

Made a stop here today. Place looks really good, coffee was great, large assortment of Le Bus sandwiches (breakfast ones too). The only downfall is the sandwiches are laden with preservatives, and it is evident in their taste. I think in the future I will stick to the coffee and maybe a muffin or donut.

The new Sunoco is really nice. Really pleased with all of the upgrades on Midvale/Ridge as a whole.

Agreed. In addition, I've found that Sunoco gas is really the best quality. When I gas up at that station, I get at least 15 - 20% better gas milage than I do with gas at any other station (and yes, using equivalent octane ratings).

On regular gas? Your little far-in car may call for high-test, and I don't use high-test, so my experience may be different. I don't buy gas frequently enough to be able to compare, and these hills play havoc with my mileage anyway.

It sounds strange, but the new station seems more pedestrian-scale. They need to complete the path from the main entry to the sidewalk to fully separate foot from car-borne traffic, though.

I do. I generally use 91 octane rating, and trust me, Sunoco gas goes farther. (Indeed, there's one station in Philly that I'm tempted to report to the state, because the variation when using their gas -- every single time -- is so significant that something questionable must certainly be going on there.)

Not sure about going further, but I only run Sunoco or Shell in my cars. Same goes for shop, client and race cars. (700++ HP) It is without a doubt better fuel.

Are Sunoco gasoline products free of Ethanol? if that's the case, then that is the most likely reason you experience better mileage with their products. Unit for unit, you get much less energy from the combustion of ethanol when compared with pure gasoline.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure all gas is now 10% ethanol.

I use Sunoco all the time and never notice a tick up in my fuel range. I usually get around 320 miles although at the Shell in Runnemede my range was over 400 the only time I went. My range seems to always be higher in Jersey than in Philly but that may just be my confirmation bias.
