It's good logic, but the room where all the food gets made should be, and often is, held to a much higher standard than the room where people mainly go to pee & poop. Speaking from experience, there are many high-volume, "informal" places where the bathroom gets a much lower priority, because the kitchen is where the money is made. (Those are probably not the places that the chef in question had in mind, of course.) Health inspectors tend to agree.

Alright, I confess: I bumped this stupid thread to the top just so I could write "pee & poop."

Question for a moderator: is it possible to delete the posts that trash a business and are from someone who has posted here only once? Those of us who are active on here know how this works, so we don't take them seriously, but this is an open forum and is visible to people who aren't regular readers.

The single-post-complainers get to be anonymous, but the businesses they're attacking aren't, which seems unfair.

On further thought, I'd like to propose that a moderator delete this entire thread. It was started by someone who appears to have an axe to grind, as the account appears to have been created just to post something potentially damaging about a business.

I'm not affiliated with Falls Taproom besides being an occasional customer. This thread doesn't affect my bank account one way or the other, but it can affect the income of all of the people who work there.

That's not gonna happen, IMO. This isn't the 1st time someone has come on here to bash - or promote - a business.

I think its good for FTR. The OP's agenda is pretty clear, and the owner of FTR came on with a nice even reply. Lots of locals posted in defense of FTR too. That is good press. Great press really.

I love the FTR and wish I could go more often. Our top 3 in EF is great right now - Fiorino, FTR, In Riva (in no particular order) - all within walking distance for most residents. Keep patronizing these businesses!

Both my spouse and I adore Fiorino and will soon try In Riva and FTR.

Wow this is ridiculous. How does posting a link to to the Public Health reports convey as having an axe to grind? Are people just supposed to look the other way because they have a decent beer list while having a mouse infestation? My friend saw 3 mice within 15 minutes last friday. I've seen mice and cockroaches in my visits at the place. I don't understand the pointless defending of the place. Let's keep the issues separate. Yes, they have good food and a good beer list. Yes, it's a nice addition to east falls. That doesn't make the fact that they have a mouse/cockroach problem insignificant. My primary beef with the place is the horrible service but that's another story.

This is a message board, people voice opinions, get over yourself. "Delete the whole thread" gtfo.

I'm not saying they don't have a problem. But I find it interesting that the people coming out with unsubstantiated claims such as "my friend saw 3 mice in 15 minutes", etc. all have less than a dozen posts under their belt. I wonder if they're all coming from the same IP address or two.

Hahaha.. I suppose the Food Inspection Reports are all part of this giant conspiracy too. Those mouse feces were just planted throughout the restaurant. You guys are really onto something! Clearly there are greater powers at work with the sole intention of bringing down this business... *rolls eyes*

Did you ever think that people may be disgusted enough with something that they felt inspired to google 'east falls forum' and then found this message board, signed up, and felt the need to post their concerns.

I personally like the place and I appreciate the postings if only to bring light to these problems and hopefully they can right the ship and stay open for the long haul. I just find it disgusting after hearing about repeated mouse problems.

You have no proof, most restaurants have similar things on their inspections but you're fiction writing is getting old.

OMG, CONSPIRACY!!! You're delusional and it's hilarious. You really think I'd write "fiction" just to knock this business? Like I said, I like the place and want them to right the wrongs.

The OP and you are either the same person or friends and are just piling on for whatever reason you have against the bar. Again the inspection is nothing special and you cannot back up your assertions.

I've been here once - it was clean, and the food, beer, and service were good. However, it wasn't busy at the time, and I wasn't there to look for health violations...

As mentioned in prior posts nothing that would stop me from eating there if I lived near the restaurant.

That wasn't my point, you do whatever you want to do. I'll probably eat there still too. I just didn't get why people think I'm posting this as a means to bash the place. People have the right to know though, which is why these things are made public. It's obviously not "fiction-writing".

Yet you still beat a dead horse, only someone with a vendetta or crazy would do that.
