This is the Philadelphia Housing Authority's project. I have asked for the plans and will share details when I get them.

It's a defacto playground at the moment. Luckily, it seems like it hasn't affected surrounding parking too much.
What's the nearest cross street? Just curious where this is.
It's before the bridge on the left hand side of calumet. Before cresson st.
So how does the PHA own that area?
I just hope it doesn't become a drivable cut-through to the development.
Well there was the "rape" last year. Not too long before that there was the guy that was held up at gunpoint outside of his house on Calumet. Then there were the individuals that were struck in the head with a bottle. This is just off of the top of my head.
Escape to where? Back to the public housing in Falls Ridge.
Falls Ridge is not a source of crime in EF.
The 'rape' was a girl getting into a guy's car, he driving around the corner, where they parked, and then who knows what happened. Noone told her to get into that car, and she was obviously foolish for doing so. You act like a woman was assaulted as she walked down the street. What happened on Upper Calumet was 'acquaintance/date' rape, which is an entirely different thing, and he would have had a hard time escaping in his car through the non-driveable pass-through on Lower Calumet. I don't know what happened regarding the other two things you reference. I do know there was a fight by the bridge where some people got beat up not too long ago, but it is my understanding that they had it coming to them.

Would you care to elaborate? I walk through Falls Ridge daily at various times of night and have never noted much beyond 8yr olds playing kickball or riding their bikes. There's no litter, no graffiti, and the houses appear to be well kept. I'd have a hard time believing that FR is a source of crime.
