Did you know we have a Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic in Roxborough? The Schuylkill Center's Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic treats orphaned, injured and sick wild animals (everything from songbirds to mammals and raptors). We're a non-profit and funded completely with donations. We treat over 3000 animals per year and are the only clinic that treats all species in Philadelphia, Montgomery and Delaware Counties.
Two events coming up you might be interested in:
1.)'Creature Comforts' - Fund Raiser and Supply Drive
Help us get ready for our busy season rehabilitating wildlife this year! All ages, family friendly event. Meet our animal ambassadors at 2 live wild animal programs. Other fun activities including nature walks and crafts. March 31, 2012 11AM - 2PM. Free, but donations accepted! Please bring a donation of suggested supplies: Paper towels, unscented laundry detergent, bleach, new or gently used sheets/receiving blankets, supermarket gift cards. 2.) Volunteer Orientation.
Our Wildlife Rehab Clinic depends on volunteers to help care for our injured animals. If you're interested in helping, please join us for this critical volunteer no-obligation orientation. No experience necessary. Must be 18 years old, and commit to a 4 hour shift per week.
