Great food and service. The best right now as far as I'm concerned. Garlic bread cheesesteaks, great salads and boardwalk pizza. Keep it up scott.

I love your pizza! I think it's the best pizza in the whole area. I highly recommend it to everyone here.

I became a fan of Caputo's after recieving the 2 for 1 special in the clipper magazine. Good pizza is hard to find in our area, and Caputo's definately has one of the best.

Also, really like they are open late night on the weekends.

I have been meaning to check this place out and will definitely hit it up very soon. For those that are saying good pizza in the area is hard to find, you need to venture out because there are alot of places in Roxborough/Manayunk that have GREAT pizza!

    to name a few.......

Alex's Pizza (400 Leverington Ave)- On the small side but very good, especially if you like a sweeter sauce. I typically don't and I LOVE this pizza!

Roma's- (6129 Ridge Ave)- In my opinion the best pizza in the area...BY FAR!

    Maria's Pizza- (8100 Ridge Ave)

Mr. P's Pizza- (7139 Ridge Ave in the Ivy Rodge Shopping Center)

I used to love Alex's. But I think something has changed. The sauce is still good, but the crust tastes like cardboard. I've been very disappointed.

I like Mr.P's. Caputo's is like Mr.P's, only better. Both have great veggie toppings and great sauce.

    I never had Roma's or Maria's

You have to try Roma's!! Maria's is very good as well. Someone else mentioned Santucci's brothers which is different (square pizza) but delicious!

Marchiano's is very good but if you are into tomato pie you have got to try Gaeta's.

does anyone know their hours or how much one tomato pie is?

ETA: sorry - i just realized i hijacked the caputo's thread. but scott - i'm glad you posted something on here. i'm more likely to try your pizza now, which will be in the very near future! thanks!

    Default Deal

I want to thank everyone for the great comments and look forward to seeing some new faces as well.

Listen, I know that there are a lot of places in the area that make good pizza, I don't mind the discussion about other places at all. I realize everyone is not going to love my pie but I think the majority will.

I am going to show everyone here how confident I am that you will fall in love with our pizza if you give us one shot.

Deal is good on Wednesday and Thursday thru the next 2weeks...except tonight 7/14/2010. You order a pizza from your favorite spot whether it be Alex, Mr.P, Roma, whoever....call us up and I will give you a free Medium Plain Pizza to taste next to your favorite. I need you to bring in the pie when you pick up yours at Caputo's. Pickup only.

I'm positive I will win most of you over. Tell your friends and family. I want everyone in the area to love Caputo's.

I will be answering any questions as they come in.

Thanks for the opportunity to prove to Man, Rox, East Falls Caputo's is no joke and we are here for the long haul.

Sounds like a good deal..I'll definetly give it a shot!!!

I still think Maria's has the best pie around, but I'll be curious to see how Caputo's compares.

The Gaeta's on Ridge is moving to East Falls, but the guy there said they would probably deliver to Rox when they re-open. You're supposed to pre-order, but apparently they always have a few extras, just in case.

Default Deal tonight, 7/21, and 7/22

Yes, you are correct, you can bring in your favorite pie from anywhere in the rox, manayunk, east falls area and I will give you a free medium so you can taste test.

Call ahead...pick-ups usually run 20-25 minutes.

Hopefully some of you will take me up on the offer.

    Thanks,
    Scott
