Default $700 plus a month family plan wireless bill

I was in a T Mobiel store on Tuesday and a guy in front of me was looking for a plan that would reduce his $700 plus monthly phone bill. He didn't seem mad at T Mobile or at his family members, does anyone on here have a monthly bill even close to this ?

Up until last month, I was paying $500 for three phones on three different plans. Did the verizon share everything, and it got cut in half.

I'm sure it's very possible; just do the math of 3-4 kids with cell phones, two parents, maybe a grandparent or other extended family in the home.

The spambot is right about that much. Think about whether you need this shiznit.

$700 is crazy. I have users on blackberries with corporate data plans, tethering, the whole works and I only average about $100 a month per user.

I think it is absolutely nuts that kids have cellphones. Seriously, $100/mo used to be a household's utility bills during decent weather months-now that's a single cellphone? Hell, before cellphones, I remember the big debate being if I wanted to pay $10/mo for hbo.

These delusional, whack-job parents argue "what if there's an emergency?" They don't realize that the cellphones are being used for emergency party or booty calls. Your kid is much more likely to use a cellphone to get herself knocked up than a legitimate emergency, as we just found out is the case with my 17-year-old sister in law.

Yeah, my girlfriend caught her daughter making questionable facebook posts, and I stated that I really don't understand what the hell a 15 year old is doing with a smartphone. Of course it comes down to the age old argument, "all the other kids have one..." I don't inject myself in the situation since she's not my daughter, but there's no way in hell my kid would have a $100/mo appliance when I can do a college savings plan for $75/mo..

You can give your kid a phone for very little but it won't have the bells and whistles. My daughter started taking Septa to school at age 10 so I bought her a pay as you go cell phone. It worked well for several years until she started running out of minutes talking to people other than me. She can get a better phone when she can pay for it. I buy myself $100 phone cards for my nonSmart phone and they last for 5-6 months, sometimes more. And,Lucid, I hear you. My friend, an otherwise smart woman, could not cover her share of her son's last year of Temple tuition yet they all have iPhones in her family that she pays for.

Actually, any kid can have a 'free' cellphone. Give a kid any old cellphone and they can still contact 911 for emergencies. Problem solved.

Perfect timing-I just watched this article on the news about how smart phones are causing major problems with children watching porn.
