    Default 8MM to DVD

My Dad turns 80 this Aug. and I would like to have some old 8 mm film, from the 60"s, transferred to dvd. I think he would love it. Has anyone done this before or know a good place to have it done? I see places like Walgreen's advertise but I'd like to find out if anyone has a recommendation.

I can't speak directly to 8mm, but I have had excellent luck with CVS transferring Beta and VHS tapes to CDs. I have found them to be the most reasonably priced, and the turnaround is decent. They also offer a service through Yes Video where you can receive and keep the material on your computer. Not that it probably matters, but I use the CVS at 19th & Chestnut and the lady behind the counter is a sweetie.
